Biodiversity Week 17th – 24th May 2009 Wexford Wexford Wildfowl Reserve, North Slob, Wexford. Tel: 053 9123406 Saturday May 23rd Coast Walk, walk along the coast exploring some of the flora and fauna around Wexford Harbour, a Special Protection Area. Walk leaves from the bridge at the begining of the Wexford Wildfowl Reserve approach road at 2pm. Sunday May 24th Butterfly and Dragonfly walk. Leaves from Wildfowl Reserve visitor centre at 2pm Sunday 24th May, Courtown Forest Family Biodiversity Guided Walk. Deborah Darcy will lead a Biodiversity Guided Nature Walk. Meet at 2.30pm in Courtown Woods, first car park on the left just before Courtown Harbour. Hail, rain or shine dress appropriately. Bring wellies, bug viewers or magnifying glass. Wicklow Saturday 23rd May 2009 Brittas Bay Beach & Sand Dune Walk 11:00am. Explore the sand dune system of Buckroney Nature Reserve, beside Brittas Bay, with a National Parks & Wildlife Service Guide looking at the biodiversity of plants and animals that live there. A gentle walk through the dune system discovering the wealth of flora and fauna that live there. Aimed at adults but also suitable for older children with an interest in natural history. Not suitable for buggies. Meeting at Buckroney Nature Reserve at 11am. This event is free of charge. This event is free of charge. Booking is essential. Bookings taken from Saturday 9th May only.
