There has been a large increase in the number of newly developed playground in various town throughout Donegal in recent years and coupled with older playgrounds being revamped and modernised, there is almost one in every town!

Ballymacool Park, Letterkenny. Large modern playground situated in the 20 acre grounds of Ballymacool House.44 car parking spaces, together with ashplat paths and park furniture. Great play equipment for toddlers and pre-schoolers as well as older children. The equipment is well spaced out, making it very spacious on those busier days!. The play area itself, is totally enclosed, dogs are not permitted in the area and it is also a No-Smoke zone. There are seats all the way around the parimeter and there is a toilet block situated close by. In a separate enclose area there is a multi-use games area, suitable for older children. Highly Recommended.

Bernard Mc Glinchey Park, Letterkenny. There are two playgrounds in Bernard Mc Glinchey Park. There is a toddler playground near the entrance to the park. And there is another play-area suitable for older children, further into the Park, with a “zip wire”, swings and steep, bending slides. Toilets located at Park enterance. There is a small carpark at the park but it’s usually full L, while there are other carparks close- by, they do charge for parking.

Ballyshannon, Mall Park. Situated in an area of high scenic beauty overlooking Erne Esturary. A safe play facility for children up to the age of twelve. Easily accesed from all areas of the town.

Ballybofey & Stranorlar . good sized, enclosed modern play-area including great wooden play equipment. Suitable for toddlers to twelve year olds. Parent seating available.

Ballyliffin. Located beside the Pollan beach, Fantastic revamped playground, complete with wooden climbing walls, play-house and other toys

Buncrana, Festival Park. Buncrana's Festival Park is beside the shore greens. It is just 5 minutes walk from Buncrana town centre and is also located beside Buncrana's Light house and Leisure Centre. Large, modern playground. Parent seating available. Bright colourful equipment. Suitable for toddlers to twelve year olds.

Bundoran. Large playground, located on the sea-front. Parent seating available.

Carndonagh Barrack Hill

Castlefinn. Large playground suitable for toddlers and older children. Parent seating available.

Crossroads & Killygordon. Modern and colourful playground, enclosed and safe, suitable for toddlers upwards.Parent Seating Available.

Culdaff. Large playground beside the sea. Great equipment suitable for toddlers to twelve year olds. Car-parking close-by and accesses onto to beach too.

Dungloe. Playground suitable for toddlers and children up to twelve years old.

Falcarragh.Toddler and Pre-School area.Parent Seating Available.

Glencolmcille. .  A second larger playground was added recently.

Glenties. Suitable for toddlers upwards. Has an excellent climbing frame for older kids!
